How much to the gallon?

Tanked the car up Sunday morning(full tank)with Shell Optimax, had alot of miles to do. Spent most of the day on the motorway averaging 90mph, got home and the tank is virtually empty, according to my speedo I only got 260 miles to a full tank.
Sh*t the bed is that crap or what.
PS it's a Marea 20v Weekend.

Had a Marea 2.0 HLX Saloon (with air con) for 40,000 miles. Averaged 31 over the whole distance. Lowest was approx 24mpg off a tank when it was taken on a track day and generally hammered. Best off a tank was about 34 or 400 miles.

I have found Optimax poor on my HGT 155.It eats the stuff.the performance is slightly better I think,more responsive(this could be my imagination though).

but thats really hammering it. ive just got a ecotec so will see what difference that makes. started measuring from just under half a tank so will see how long that lasts. expecting about 100-150 miles from it but that may be optimistic.

that sounds about right, I get a simliar performance outta my weekend when driven between 90 - 100 on long motorway trips. I have to be honest tho, I dont think that is too bad for a 5 pot engine, specially at those kinda speeds

The reason I am complaining like an unpaid whore, is I used to have an automatic 2.8 Supra that returned better mpg and when I drove that I only used the brake pedal for parking?
