How much is a cambelt change? How easy is it to do oneself? Tools?

How much have you guys paid for a cambelt change?

i need to get mine done as i looked at my service history and the car has done 56k on the original belt.

you will need the tensioner as well. can you do it yourself? labour charges are high

the only thing i'm worried about with doing it myself is i don't have the tools to lock the camshaft in place and i don't want to put my timing out of wack

I have the tool to lock the camshaft, you only need one, and 4 dowel rods. ignor haynes ,you only need to lock one camshaft so no dismantling fuel rails.If you want to borrow the tool and rods, send me an email,[email protected]

cambelt cost

i'm having my cambelt changed on wednesday its going to cost me £80 to have done mines a fiat brava 1.4sx hope this helps
