Approaching 300,00 miles in 4 years.

The mileages listed are approximate.

128k, Wiper mechanism fell apart. Had to pay for a new one despite still being within 24 month 'unlimited mileage' warranty. Fiat warranty = toilet paper.(used).

170k, 5th gear 'fell off'. Fixed by local garage for under £80.

195k, Clutch failed. Loads of material left, problem with mechanism.

250k, Radiator clogged. Coolant was changed as per service schedule before this !!!!!

280k, Wiper mechanism fell apart. At least it lasted longer than the 1st one. Same type of system on my Iveco van, 320k and still original - better quality components I guess.

290k, Glowplug failed. Unfortunatley it wouldn't come out cleanly and the head had to come off to be fixed.

Overall not too bad for a 'cheap' van.

The garage I use do an excellent job. Servicing is always done to a very high standard (eg, even though van is serviced at about 6 week intervals the guy still takes the rear drums off to thoroughly clean the brakes - (still on original shoes)).

I'd buy another of these vans tomorrow but for Fiats attiude to its customers when requesting a warranty repair. As it is, I don't intend to ever buy another Fiat. Other manufacturers may be just as bad but at this moment in time it's Fiat that took my money and failed to perform as promised. 'Unlimited Mileage' doesn't mean the same to Fiat as it does to the rest of the english speaking world.

2 months off 3 years, 35,500 miles.
2,000 miles, new rear shocks to stop clonking noise.
32,000 miles Auxiliary Drive Belt tensioner failed

Not bad for a 'cheap' car!!

Coming up on 2 years old & 15000 miles.
New gas struts on rear tailgate fitted last week - going back this week to see about some that actually lift the tailgate more than halfway:mad:

Whilst they were fitting the struts, they gave the motor a 'courtesy' lookover & have advised that both front tyres are low tread.

Still like the beast though.

Need to check the mileage, but I've had mine, a 2003, for just about 2 years, and apart from changing tyres, and maybe having to get new gas struts soon, have had no problems whatsoever. It hasn't missed a beat. Best car I've ever had.

Lyn (madly touching wood and crossing fingers !!)

So what you doing on a fiat forum

thought this thread was about how many miles your doblo has done? I see alot of doblo taxis with well over 100K on them (chicken feed to Niall I know) used 24/7 but to look at them (and the repair history) you would guess about 25K !
