How far would you go for money? (If you had none!)

How far would you go for money? (If you had none!)

See, the annoying thing is, is that I'm not skint because I spend too much. I hardly spend at all and I always keep up to date with my bills.

I started a new job, but I won't be getting paid until the end of June or July, and my previous boss won't pay me my last weeks wages because he's "skint" and won't give me P45 either. So I'm going to have to go via employment tribunal, or the tax man (because I know he's dodgy).

As a result, I need money to last me through and to help me pay the bills that I would normally pay with my wages, as I have no income at the moment.

I'm not just a sh*t spender lol.

So far, I like the idea of being a taxi, but a lot of my mates are still at uni so I don't have many that go out at the moment near me.

And I do have a load of clothes etc that I could sell, but do people really want used clothes??

I suppose I could sell books and dvds but don't you have to pay for your listing on Ebay? (I have no money to pay for it lol)

yes. people will always buy secondhand clothes the only exceptions being underweear although some people will buy secondhand bras.

yes you do have to pay listing fees but not until the end of the auction and its possible to sell anything on ebay if you word the auction right and are realistic with your prices

Oh right, okay I didn't realise, as I thought it asked you to pay before you listed it.
I'm annoyed though because I want to change the bank account I have on PayPal, because I don't use it anymore, but I don't know how :(

Err, thats not quite true, some people (and I'm sure they'll post on here soon) will buy used knickers :D

Instead of ebay try doing a car boot sale, clothes sell really well around my way. Sit in the sun for a few hours on a sunday morning and people give you money and take away your old clothes. great.

I used to do this when I was pennyless, - used to make anything between £50-100 on a sunday morning after butties and tea. Clothes always go really well, old VHS box sets and CD's go for nothing.

And dirty knickers fetch a bit on ebay......

Can the bank of mum or dad help you?

Dan

Er; fail - read that its not an option

for free listings (if they have one in your area) try vivastreet or gumtree

Bank of dad bought me the car, so I could get to work :S
And gave me extra so I could pay my bills for the end of this month :(

I have applied for a tax refund, as my old car is SORN. So that should be about 5 weeks.

The nice bank told me I can get free legal advice because I'm a privilege customer, and so I am going to use them to f*ck my old boss over :)

I've wanted a car boot sale for ages, but the ones in my area are crap :(
And my next Sunday off is Stanford Hall and then I don't have one next month. So I guess Ebay would have to be the way forward. However, PayPal takes ages. I'm wondering if there's any walk in work that you can do that pays quickly, like really awful jobs that no one wants! :p

There's websites that buy DVDs and games u just enter the barcode for a price.

Envirophone or eBay for old phones.

Sold a few things on eBay, the monthly charges can be shocking. And u need time for post office visits.

We are supposed to be doing carboot this weekend LOL, keep puttin it off.

I owe 1k to family members and I have no job so alot pressure on me getting a job.

In clothes or a bikini? :|

Because £50 is a lot for a car wash. I think this time of year it might be a bit nippy to do a Jessica Simpson.

Or does that include petrol money to GET ALL THE WAY OVER THERE. :p

Have found a Saturday car boot sale in Denham! :) So me and Mr RustyBravo are going down there next Saturday, so with any luck should have money for Stanford Hall :D

I'm well excited now, always wanted a car boot sale :D

You could try a local employment temping agency? Depend on the hours of your work atm obviously!

Only other option I can think is bar or waitressing work, bit anti-social and you def need to keep it in check with your new job etc, some employers get funny about empoyees potentially serving customers elsewhere in another capacity!!

Yellow

Hmm ta very much :) Unfortunately all the bar work has been nabbed by the returning students, and the students that already live here (I live in a University town)
Meh.

It's a right tizzy. Well I do Body Shop parties aswell, so again, if anyone wants one... ;)
