How far would you go for money? (If you had none!)

How far would you go for money? (If you had none!)

what you need to do is a list of ALL expenditure on a monthly basis
thats everything you pay out on bills etc and regular costs
then look at every cost and see if its A: needed and B: if it can be reduced
then get yourself a little notebook and write down every penny you spend

as for extra income.short term ebay anything you dont need
2nd job if you can get one
problem is now int the time to be looking at this, that was months ago before you got to this point
this is coming from somebody who ended up with £000's to pay back thanks to a lying bitch of an ex.im not bitter though.........................

From my experience (or rather my best mates experience) I would't bother with pay reviews. You get a few quid and then they pester and hassle you non stop for months. Its really not worth it. And most of the sites require you to have cheap stuff first, the valuable stuff comes later, if at all.

As custard and others have said, cut down on everything, write down ALL your income and outgoings. Writing it down really does help. Don't just think about writing it down. Do it on a bit of paper, not a spreadsheet as you will easily get distracted and not end up doing it.

Sell stuff on ebay or do a car boot sale. If you've not worn items of clothes for months, sell them. Do you have an ipod? Sell it. Do you have a flash mobile phone? Sell it and get a cheap one. Do you have some GHD straighteners? Sell them and get some cheaper ones. etc etc etc.

Do you have a credit card? Chop it up into bits.

You always live upto (and often beyond) your means. The trick is to not use credit. I know its almost impossible, but many people manage it. For the past few years its been too easy to get credit, and it WILL come back and bite you on the arse. If you want something, save for it. Simple. And this is not a dig at you, just commenting on the state of many people in similar, and often worse, situations.

Hello puddings.

I have no money, well £1.21 to be precise. £870 worth of debt to be paid

£1.21, wow, want to lend me some? is it just short term or is this an ongoing problem? (IF YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING) if its just short term get a small overdraft to get you by, if its a problem where you hve less every month than you get paid, only one thing to do, cut back.

Be a desginated driver for your pals going out to the pub or whatever, i gave a drunk man a go of my phone [i thought he'd steal it but he didn't] and he gave me a £20 note so i said thank you very much and he gave me a handful of change and he said "that's for being nice"

:D

Being a desginated driver is a great way to save money.

Been on a few nights out, for free, mates buy my drinks (coke :p), and give me a couple of quid each for petrol when I drop them off.

Saves money on a taxi, and drinks, and dont feel like **** in the morning

That's very true, I have tried that before and I made 20 quid. But don't tell Jai cos I think it's illegal :(

Hmm... Already breached my overdrafts lol. THIS IS GREAT! :p
I think it makes life funner if you're never in perfect luxury :)

Because apparently you're taking more money than it officially costs you, thus acting as a taxi service without a license because you're making a profit...... "apparently" not too sure though.

Strange, could understand if it was strangers, but with mates I cant see a problem with it.

Nan once phoned me up to see if I could drop her mates off, as they had been drinking, and they didn't want to pay the £25 to get a taxi back (fair enough), gave me £20 for 30 minutes work ...said he would rather I had it than some taxi person lol.

Still feel like **** in the morning

Fcuk how illegal it is i used to do it as edited all the time when i was a wee nipper. Hold up is this thread in spamalot.
Moral of the story is get friends who drink and do drugs then dont drink yourself take the money instead then save up all of the drugs and sell them back to them when they run out and then get a 10er from each for hustling them all night

dragging this thread back on topic.....

There's been a banner add on this forum from a company that tells you what your credit rating is, and how to manage your finances. As I was curious I clicked. For the 1st 10 days their service is free, after that its £20 a month  I know these adds generate revenue for the forum, but I hope no one on here is thick enough to do that sort of thing.

EDIT: its a place called Quick Credit Score.

Infact, try not to use credit EVER. What happened to the good old way of savig up for things? I do it. I don't have a credit card, I don't have any store cards, I don't have any loans (apart from mortgage). I bought a car I can afford with cash, not finance. As long as you manage your finances then you should never get into trouble. But our society has made it far too easy to get credit (or read as getting into debt) for the past few years. And I really do think this attitude has helped put this country into a recession.
