Lol, Ican't for the love of me find the second bleed screw. I've done the one on the radiator. Does anyone have a pictures of where it is?

OK were talking new(188)style puntos here ok;
Just to the right of the airfilter/behind the 2 ignition coils you will see a large black hose this goes through the bulkhead into the car & thus the heater matrix.About 6inches before it goes through the bulkhead there is a small black screw on the top of the hose/it is part of the hose itself.

p.s.to bleed the system keep engine off, only run for second bleed screw if you are trying to cure gurgling noise.

Thank you. :)

and to bleed it turning the heater knob to full does nothing, its just a flap to divert a %age of fresh air thru the heated matrix, hence why it is sometimes hard to turn when blower on full blast.

mk2 sounds worse than a mk1 in terms of bleeding, I filled mine, bled it, drove around for two days, coolant level had gone down, filled up, bled agian, and that was that! literally if you add it all up it took me longer to choose which antifreeze I wanted in the car, (as I wasn't paying £10 for a small bottle of premixed halfrauds poo).

BUt the mk2 is very different and fiat have made quite a few design errors.

1. Car must be cold.
2. Remove coolant cap and top up coolant level in tank with appropriate mix.
3. Remove upper bleed screw (at back of engine on heater hose).
4. Fill coolant in tank and watch the coolant begin coming out. Refit upper bleed screw.
5. Top up coolant level in tank.
6. Remove lower bleed screw (behind headlamp on top of rad). Watch the coolant coming out untill it is a constant stream of water without bubbles. Refit lower bleed screw.
7. Top up coolant level in tank.
8. Simultaneous blow with mouth in the tank and unscrew upper bleed screw. Keep blowing until coolant come out and after 2 seconds refit upper bleed screw. After this mouth wash of with fresh water is necessary (danger of poisoning).
9. Check coolant level, it should be an inch or so from the top, if there is too much, release the lower bleed screw untill there is the correct quantity in the tank.
10. Run up to heat and make sure the fan operates correctly.
11. If necessary let the engine cool for hours and repeat the procedure.
12. After max. two repeating it must work.(y)
