Fiat Ducato 2.3 multi jet 2016. Hi newbie here. Driving yesterday and sudden jolt with hill holder flashing on dash and car symbol with tyre tracks orange. Anybody help? I switched off and back on and it disappeared

A skid could cause it temporarily as it uses ABS signal etc.
I assume no other warning lights?

You could check the condition of the reluctor rings on the hubs for excessive corrosion.
Looks like a castellated/toothed ring which provides the signal to the ABS sensors.

Cheers bud, more than likely a skid as back end is bery light. I’ll keep check
I agree that could cause it, but then generally it would be permanent with an ABS error code or light on.
Plus on many modern vehicle the "reluctor device" is a magnetic ring on the hub bearing so nearly impossible to see physically and needs to be tested with suitable equipment. Don't you just love modern vehicles?

Could just be a glitch, about 4 weeks ago my 'new' abarth suddenly (for one short journey) came up with a TPMS system (I think it was) error, couldn't read any tyre, I can't remember the exact message on-screen, at the time I thought 'great' ...but when I finished my short 3 mile journey , I just cycled the ignition and it was back to normal. Never came back since.
I did check prior to my first post that that Ducato rings are available, which tells me there is a need for them

If you need to change one make sure nothing magnetic touches or is near the ring such as a magnetised screwdriver as it will destroy the new ring.

Usually fitted with a bit of heat , which would pretty much kill any residual magnetism.
Maybe the incident was logged , if you have access to diagnostics...
Hopefully the incident is logged for the diagnostics.
Re fitting them , I have never used heat.
The ring has magnetic vanes so killing residual magnetism would stop the ABS from working.and can be tested using one of these cards.
