Technical High temp

Hi.... Car been sat for the weekend went to start today came up with high temp on display and would not start... It's had a new temperature senor new battery... Any ideas what to do next??

Have you tried bleeding the system. If it's a 1.4 engine there are two bleed points for the cooling system. One on the rad and the other near the back of the engine (right pain to get too and bleed).

I have same problem 9 months replaced with new battery and all is good now.

I know you state it's a new battery but has the battery had a FULL charge before being fitted to the car. Fiats are very fussy regarding juice from the battery....

Hi, on prolonged uphill climbs in a hot summer day with ac on , the temperature rises. If I stop with the engine on in 10 seconds, it reaches normal levels. It has 350,000 km. It pulls normally. I changed the water pump, radiator, thermostat. The fan works normally. The indicator goes up to the middle and something. It does not reach 3/4. Is this normal? Will I have a problem? What else should I do? I use paraflu petronas up ready -40 /125 celcius. Is it ok?

Must be the waterways in the block are partially clogged up, slowing the flow through it

Firstly, have you tried bleeding the system? Air pockets inside make the temperature rise above normal.

To clean the system I strongly recommend this method, wash it with distilled water + citric acid. I made this topic about it, here.
