Hi and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

I can't recommend anyone in Liverpool as that's a long way from me, but have you checked your insurance? A lot of insurance co's are including windscreen cover in their policies nowadays. Might be cheaper to get it done that way?

hi john anthony have you considered your local scrapyard?
they usually have a local man who can take out second hand windscreens and replace in your car for reasonable amounts
or
find who the local independant car traders use for glass fitting
i wouldnt pay more than £110 for a new screen fitted off an independent bloke with his dog sat on passenger seat

hi there thanks ill try that

Depending on where you are in Liverpool, really. The big scrappy in Huyton and Spekeland Salvage (between Smithdown Road and Picton/Wavertree Road and Tunnel Road) all use the same mobile screen fitter. About £30 a job.

Ring Wayne or Mark at Spekeland for details: 0151 734 4478.

The cheapest MOTs are on Smithdown, too, Dantom on the corner of Smithdown and Hartington Road.

Three- and five-doors are the same at the front; but different at the rear. And, as far as I'm aware, the windscreen didn't change from Mk2 to Mk2b, either -- so any should fit. They're bonded to the car, though: so probably best done by a professional.... s and b will know....

hi there ok thanks alot mate by the way will get some one who knows what there doing to fit screen cheers mate bye

Re: help windscreen replacement

Hi,

There are actually a couple of different versions windscreens. However as said, they should all fit the same though for your Mk2.

The different screens are for later cars with rain sensor or in car kit etc
