Fiat abarth 2011 What do I do after 3 years does it need a new starter ,alternator. Or dies it need scrapping?
ah, the 500 multiair models are in the Americas only, I always confoundTjet not a multiair. I read completely dead as no electricity. If it's cranking but no start it could be old fuel.

Going to check Earth strap but terminals are titeEarthstrap ok? Batteryterminals on ok?
Hi thanks for your indepth reply.its appreciatedWell it does not need scrapping that is sure. IT will have gone totally dead and all teh ECU settings may have zero'das a result. I don't know but Im guessing. I would first try with MES (multiECU scan software and see if you can see what is happening. I suspect you willneed dealer software input to restart it. AFter three yeears recommissioning is to be expected and you need to start with basics and make sure no damage has occurred do to corrosiion of connections or riodents etc.
Where was the car stored outside of in the dry? This may help understand likely issues.
You need to describe more what is going on.
Do the instrument and warning lights come on. Or are you totally dead.
Do the headlights and other electrical accessories work at all.
What you describe may well be a blown fuse possibly as a result of corrsion of electrical termionals. You definitely need a votlmeter and electrical contact cleaner. I would also carefully unplug the ECU connectord and spray all teh contacts and pins with contact cleaner spray as well as the suggestions by A3jeroen. Check the biggest main fuses. . This could be the ignition switch itself so repeated operation may bring it back if its just mild tarnishing.and Report back anything that does work and Im sure you wiull get help to work through the required checklist.
You may just need a mobile auto electrician who would probably get to the bottom of this without breaking sweat
The cable rots internally.. Copper turning to Green PasteGoing to check Earth strap but terminals are tite
After 3 years battery almost certainly dead , no amount of charging will bring it back to life.It was stored outside I need to put it onto a lift
Well that does mean weather may have affected it so it makes looking for more obvious corrosion my first suggestion after checking the main fuses. These will be in an under the bonnet fuse box, not the one ion the passenger compartment. I would look at wiring under the suttle panel to if the more obvious things are OK. The earth strap from gearboc to body is the first thing to check as said above if its a plastic coated one they can go tooally and you get absolutely nothing. I had a welder did this and it too worked once and died . This earth strap is boled at both ends and its fiddly getting to the under bater end. Best to remove the battery and then the battery tray ann you can get access. Unfortunately you need to unplug the ecu which is attached to the battery tray and take off at least one earth wire but nothing you cnat do easily and its plain to see, Clean the ecu plu and termnals before fitting back and you will have done three jobs (incliding the ecu earth. Contact cleaner removes any effloresence and should avoid the need to do anything else with teh ECU connections. These are fine pins and need care to remove and replace the plugs straight. If the earth has corroded internally the ends willbe tight but you still have zero connection! It was stored outside I need to put it onto a lift
