I haven't a clue about cars never mind modals! And I'm new to this forum. Basically my question is I'm
Looking at getting a finance vehicle- two options to fit my budget is 1.4 petrol 3 door fiat punto 2010 evo. Or a 5 door 1.2 petrol fiat punto easy 2012 . What is the difference between a evo and a easy?! I'm
So confused helppp! X

Might get a better response posting the question in the Punto section.
Not followed Punto too closely, but here's my limited knowledge.
The Punto went through several facelifts, without, I think, changing the basic vehicle.
The larger roounded shape Punto was called 'Grande Punto' when introduced in 2005.
In 2009 it was facelifted and became the 'Evo'
Facelifted again for 2012, Evo was dropped and it just became Punto again.

Within these models were various trim levels, of which Easy was one.

Your choice seems to be an earlier 1.4 3dr, or a later 1.2 5dr. A bit different.

First I'd find out about insurance costs, as that may point you at the 1.2.
Next, consider the driving you will do. If mostly around town, local area, only occasional longer journeys, the 1.2 will be great, and potentially use less fuel than the 1.4.
If you are travelling longer distances regularly, the 1.2 will do this, but the 1.4 will probably be more able, so less tiring.
Would only having 2 doors become a pain, do you often carry passengers? The longer doors can also be a nuisance in tight parking spaces.
Then just ask what equipment they have. The 1.4 may have aircon (ensure it is working), but the Easy is unlikely to have, as it was, I think, lower down the trim range.

Hi, and welcome,

EASY is just a trim level..

the EVO has a "different" front grill / bonnet look, all down to your style preferences.

the 1.2 and 1.4 are not TOO different, insurance costs could be important depending on your circumstances.

I've had a 2012 5 door for almost 4 years now - with the tiny 0.9 engine

reasonable car - just be aware that it's NOT too popular..and should NOT be a big-money purchase probably £2500 to £4000 - under 40,000 miles and well looked after,

Insurance is the same oddly enough :-s lol but thankyou so much for your advise and info. It's helped me understand how many changes fiAt have made and when. I was totally oblivious to it! Iv never had a punto and I'm not great when it comes to cars as it is so thankyou all advise is well and truly taken on board.

Ah now u see I feel like I am getting ripped off. The evo 2010 has one owner from new. 25,000 miles 1.4 petrol £4775 and the 2012 has 33,000 miles 1.2 petrol is £5675 and 3 previous owners. Personally I think the evo is abit dodgy- hardly any mileage is casting that doubt for its year specially as apparently it's only had one owner. It seems way to expensive to me. It's indicated the evo is insurance group 8 and the easy is group 7. But yet I did my insurance quotes and the are exactly the same.
