General Help...

Hello People ..
i'm hoping for a bit of advise ..I smashed the front of my Tipo 2.0 16v 5 door J reg last week in a 4 car pile up ..nothing too serious only doing about 15mph .as you can imagine im really not to pleased and that's putting it mildly .. as it was at the spraying stage and running like a dream...The insurance have been around and as I thought said its a right off... he offered me £270 and the car back .. what do you all think of this .. I have yet to have it inspected by my garage to see what it would cost to repair ..I would be greatful on your thoughts ... as I did hear of one going for over 3k .. im not expecting that tho .. cheers

So effectively they're offering you some money to repair it and re-register it as a repaired CAT-C or whatever? Seems a fairly reasonable approach although you might want a bit more money... depends if you consider yourself partly responsible and therefore can accept a bit of effort and expense, or if you are indignant and want someone else to fix your car for free...

If it's not your fault then they may be trying to sort it on the cheap... no hire car expenses etc.

all depends on what PARTS it'll need,
sounds like cosmetics ( paint ) aren't really a factor,

all down to wether you can repair and use it on the raod again,
personally I would push for more ££'s, - unless you ran into the back of the queue,

So you were about to spend money to have it sprayed anyway.
£270 sounds like a good deal if you an get whatever parts were damaged from a breaker.
I'd ask them for a bit more cash, but as the accident was your fault, take money and run.
