Dear all, I am the owner of a Fiat Stilo JTD 2 door 2002 model and have just had to have the power steering renewed (second hand). Unfortunately the cars brain won't recognise the new part and although the power steering is back and everything is okay the dash is still lighting up to say "Houston we have a problem"!!!! Am really now at a loss, any ideas anyone?:bang:

The new unit has to go an an examiner to be aligned..fiat dealer here you come..
I have not long ago changed a power steering unit on a 1.6 stilo 5 door, it worked straight away with no problems. I was told that as long as you get one with the same part number as the original, it will work. But i was also told that any power steering unit from a 5 door car will work in all other 5 door, regardless of part number, but wont work in a 3 door.
I must say that I went for the exact same part number, and found it on ebay.
