HELP - urgent fix needed...

Hi Guys,

am off to barcelona in the HGT tonight (2am ferry!) and thought everything was good to go (just had cam belt and full service and new discs and pads at PowerFiat - recommended through this site - thanks!)

however, just discovered front windscreen washers are not working.

what seems to be happening is the three way connector thing from the pump to connect to both tubes to the sprayers on the bonnet is faulty... the screen wash pisses out the kind of breather hole at the back of the connector thing. (is this making sense?)

inside it hs a little spring and all seems to be working fine except when it is plugged in. if i block of the breather hole completely obviously it doesn't work as there is too much pressure inside.

does anyone know anything about this? anyone willing to lend me theirs for a week!?

wouldn't really worry normally but supposed to be dirty sleety weather through some parts of france...

any suggestions??

Pop to your local Halfords and get a new one.

Won't be exactly the same, as it won't have the little diaphram thing in the centre (common thing to fail).

Basic 3 way unit will do the job exactly the same.

Mine went a while back, and got the cheapo one from Halfords.... works a treat.

just worked out what you were talking about.

i had that happen to me down in the depths of france. i wrapped eletrical tape round it very tightly and it held for ages until i replaced it. all the little diaphram bit does is stop the washer fluid running all the wayback to the washer bottle so they work more quickly on pushing the washer button.

halfords are open til 8pm m8!! drive fast very fast lol
