Hi sorry but newbie here. I have just replaced clutch on my fiat seicento not to much of a prob but got a stilo that also went in a matter of days of the other 1. Can someone please point me in a direction of a fitting guide/manual or any help or vids of how to do the stilo clutch. It's 1.6 04 plate thanks in advance!!! (y)

not to difficult on a 1.6, start with the undertray, drain gearbox, then drive shafts, exhaust, battery, gear selector, starter.
then put an engine support in, remove the gearbox mount under the battery tray, undo the bellhousing bolts and drop the gearbox to the floor.
Its a two man job to lower it to the floor, although i have done it myself but its heavy on its own.

Hi and thanks for the reply :slayer: I am just waiting for clutch to arrive now managed to pick 1 up for £70 Valeo from cp4l with 7.5% off so thought was quite a bargin:D and also Is draining the box a must or more to help with weight? (y)

Also is it similar to a punto at all as saw a good guide on there from How to fit new clutch - Mk2b

Had a quick glance over and didn't seem to far off??? :D

while your at it get your diff pin replaced. you will need a new pin and a roll pin (main dealers). this can stop a heartache before it happens (exploaded gearboxes). Ive had it happen twice.
Goodluck

edit, yeah i remember back in the day people were using punto gt boxes as they were much stronger than the paper mash boxes on the stilo, so the punto guide will probo be simliar

I think i also forgot to add the ecu will need to also be removed to get to the top bellhousing bolts, i marked one side so the leads went back on the correct way round.

I am having a clutch job these days on my 1.6 Stilo;

Can someone give me few more details about diff pins? And something else i have to change while i have my gearbox down? Maybe some part numbers too.

Any idea if the later 1.6 16v 105 cp gearbox will fit on my 2002 1.6? I found one quite cheap...

Thanks!
