groaning sound when changing down gears

hey guys ive recently bought a fiat punto grande t-jet ive had it for about 4 months and a groaning/screeching sound has started when i change down gears to slow down any ideas what this is im thinking its a clutch or gearbox fault

Check your gearbox oil. It might go low and get some in ASAP.
