I have a Panda 1.2 bought from new two years ago. Up until about three weeks ago, when I used the key fob to unlock the car, all the doors including the boot unlocked at the same time. All of a sudden, and for no apparent reason the boot wouldn't unlock and the only way to unlock it is to use the key manually or press the tailgate button on the fob. When I took the car for its second service today, Fiat assure me that this is exactly what should have been happening all the time and there was no fault. In fact, I think that they thought I was slightly mad. It isn't a problem to unlock the boot separately but I'd love someone to tell me that I haven't been imagining things for the last two years! What do your Pandas do? When you unlock the car do all FIVE doors unlock?

yep the unlock button does all 5 doors on mr t's eleganza. the lower button boot only.

you sure its not like most cars and if you turn the key a certain way it opens with the central locking and the other way seperate?

off the key, into the lock, have no idea how many doors open, never opened the car that way, weird eh?
yeah but on some cars if you remove the key at a certain point in turning the lock it sets how it works with the C/L

Thanks everyone. I was irritated that the chaps at Desira didn't believe me when I said that all 5 doors unlocked at the same time, so I've just written to Fiat to see what they say!
