Now, for the next two please do it on a scale of 1 to 9, 1 being thinnest.

What you rate your current figure at: 4
Explanation of rating - Have given 4 because being a size 12 on bottom and 14 on top I think that I am about average. I have decided that at '1' you'd be ill and 9 you'd also be ill so 4's a happy medium. I am what I class as heavy (but in a good way) ie I weigh more than people would think. I don't in fact weigh myself anymore I seen no point as long as I fit in my clothes I'm happy. I recently had fitness test and BMI was 12.5 and came out in 'lean' category on charts. I was the same as this when I was 16 but weigh over 2 stone more now than back then (am still same height etc btw). The difference here being that I am now a bit of a fitness freak (because I gave up smoking and I love food I have to be or I'd be the size of a small horse!) and although I don't look as slim as some people only 8.3 kg of me is fat so I'm heavy because of muscle (also found this out in fitness test). I would like to look a little slimmer but without changing my exercise regime (ie start running distances instead of bulk building) I don't think I'll achieve my ideal which but its not far off where I am now. I'm proud of my body and tone etc of course there are little things that I would change if I could but on the whole I think I'm fine.

What your ideal figure would be: 3.5 - would like to lose a little bit of me belly, bum n hips just a kilo or so would do but not too fussed on these cos they match me top half and if I did I may look unbalanced.

Emspem thanks for the detailed explanation, and to everyone else that gave one its really useful to know a bit more about why people rated themselves how they did.

Only thing was a BMI of 12.5 :confused: I'm 18.2 and considered underweight?

Might sound narcissistic, but I don't think I need to lose any weight, probably better off gaining a few pounds. A bit of toning up would probably help too, but the rating was for thin / fat unless I've read it the wrong way. This time last year I'd have put myself at 3 and 5 respectively as I lost a lot of weight. A good Pizza shop and an appetite for ale has helped me back up to 10st7 at 5'6".

anything under 20 is considered under weight... 12.5 is very impressive.

however it isnt an accurate reading as mentioned above, the important number is total body fat weights compared to total weight!

Cheers - just had the last one done a couple of months ago and was well pleased with it - only thing that could be better is my lung capacity but otherwise I'm as fit as a fiddle n have flexibility of 16 yr old!!! lol But would be interesting to have another one done in a bit cos I've started swimming to add to my regime so would be intersting to see if that changes anything am hoping it may improve my lungs?!
 
Yeah, i realise that i was just worried about her still being alive :)

I dont know any of my technical details only my BMI, im totally unfit though, i know that much :p

Yup I was pincered in strategic places to get my readings - they couldn't even pinch a mm on my tricep - very proud of this :D

depending on the length of time of the swin and intensity.

if u want to increase lung capacity or how much oxygen your lungs can exchange then u need to do CV for as long as humanly possible. reaching your anaerobic threshold.

if u want to make your lungs more efficent u need to make them work harder, u can get special mouth pieces that make breathin harder, do CV with one of these and u will cause your lungs to work harder to exchange the oxygen, eventually makin it easier to do so when u are breathin normally, puttin less strain on your respiritory system! :D

I think I have a prob with my lungs - seen as u seem like a guy who has some knowledge can I pm u with a few questions? off on me dinner to feed my face :)
