I rated myself a 6 coz I think I am slightly overweight round the middle [love handles, I call them ;)], but generally my weight is ok with my height, although haven't done my BMI yet to confirm. My waist is 32", and jacket size 42" chest, so not all bad.....

I suppose by saying a 5, which is in the middle, would mean I am then not too fat NOR too thin!

Glad I did accountancy now :)

The bad side of Uni coming thru! Before the start of last year (Sept 2003) I weighed 9 stone, then I found beer and McD's - I now weigh 13 stone only 1 year on!!!

lora another i would like to add to my comments before is, im not too bothered if i lose anymore weight, i just want to tone myself up....nothing crazy mind

I was about a stone lighter in that pic than I am now and even though I don't look overweight now by any means I have a BMI of 25 and am officially overweight. Therefore I need to lose weight, end of (although the stone on the front of my chest probably doesn't help I don't think BMI takes that into account).
helz hopefully this will make u feel better...

BMI (body mass index) is purly a caculation between your height and weight. and 25 is a perfectly healthy BMI anythin under 30 is considered healthy.

one of the bad things about BMI is that it doesnt take into account body type, for instance i am pushin 10.5 - 11 stone on a good day, but have a body fat percentage (how much of my body is fat) of only 10% however according to the BMI i am clinicly overweight, due to me only being 5'7 and muscle weighing more than fat.

a stone in weight your plummit your bmi and body fat % and bearing in mind u should only aim to lose 2lbs of weight a week at the very most and there 14 lbs in a stone i personally would say u only need a shift a few pounds to notice a difference. :D
 
i cant, i dont like spinich :p

i have enough muscles for now, i just need to get rid of my beer gut, but that would mean cutting down on drinking....its a hard choice

this happens virtually every day

not bad man.... well not too bad :D

could do with eatin breakfast... starts your metabolism up early.

booze is a real killer, soooo many calories in it! and pie an chips, well at least it tastes good! hehe

No thats wrong Gaz!

If you dont eat your body stores all the fat it gets for energy. So by not eating alot your not loosing weight.
 
I dont mind you wreaking my thread as long as people still feel they can give their details without butting in on a convo :p
 
Why dont u do the special K diet lol :p

You get to eat two bowls of lovely :rolleyes: cereal a day plus dinner :D

wat u will find happen is that if u dont eat your body will use up it reserves for energy.

and unfortunatly muscle is the best source of energy for the body so wat u find is that u lose muscle instead of fat causin u to lose weight.

ideally u should eat lots of little meals, every few hours, about 6 smaller meals a day, instead of 2 bigger ones, your body breaks down the food better and uses if more efficently that way instead of just storing the stuff it doesnt need at the time.

if that makes any sence to you all!
