Hi Guys,

after all the good advice in the past- i'm back for more!

my passenger side windscreen washer has stopped working! driver side still works fine.

i've had all the tubing out from under the bonnet to check for blockages and have given the nozzle a good clean too but still nothing.

am I right in thinking i'll need a new washer motor and if so how easy to install?

cheers,
Daron

i wouldnt say so because the motor powers both i think - not just one?

If there isnt any water coming through the pipe to the nosle that aint working, it may be that the motor is too weak, or ther is a blockage someware. How strong is the preasure on the working one ?

There's a three way joiner under the bonnet. Is it OK at the junction meeting?

i've checked all the pipes from the junction and there's definatley no blockage.

not sure how good the pressure is on the working side- i mean it works fine but the jet isn't as forceful as i've seen it on other cars!

the water is definatley reaching the second nozzle but it seems very weak

washers

Maybe the jet is too wide, It will reduce pressure.Try a couple of new nozzles,

Disconnect the working one at the 3-way joint and plug it with your finger. Then get someone to activate the washers. The increased pressure to the blocked one may clear it. If it doesn't, disconnect the nozzle and try again, still with the working one blocked from the 3 way joint. This should tell you if it's the nozzle, the pressure or the piping.
