Styling HELP MK1 Bonnet Colour Coming OFF

Hello, my blue fiat punto's Colour is coming off the bonnet , is it worth re-spraying or should i use products such as T-CUT, to restore the colour?


Also why does this happen, even though i get my car washed every week?

It might happen simply because of the age of the car. Bear in mind that mk1 are all AT LEAST 8 years old.

Do you mean that the laquer is peeling..or the paint is fading?

As for re-spraying, if the rest of the car is faded, you would need to get a pro job for it to look any good really, so it will blend well...not cheap.

Maybe try the T-cut or look round for a bonnet off a car that is being broken

well, on my car i think each panel is a slightly different shade of red.

i need some more t-cut to make the car all red again.

I think T-Cut only works for a couple days then washes off, unless you treat it every weekend with it maybe it will restore the colour eventually without fading off in a couple of days, as said above i wouldint bother spraying the bonnet as it would look odd if you dont get the whole car all sprayed, best bet would be to get another bonnet off a borken punto or in a scrap yard.

find a decent WAX and sealent, and prevent any further damage.

is it the (non mettalic) powder blue colour??? I see hardly any of them on the roads as abou 99% of them have lost their colour revealing matt/course areas and undercoats :yuck:

not worth a respray really, live with it.

Could just be the rain with acid in. is it garaged pretty much all the time?
