AND I don't have any fully working locks at the mo, so I can't use my key! :-/
Bear with me while I explain what I'm doing:
I've been trying to wire a relay into my car so that when I lock it the indicators flash for the duration of th locking pulse.
Simple you might say?! Well i got a 12v relay, figured out what the wirng should be, an even put it on an electronics forum to run it past somebody who knows what they're on about.
I intercepted the wires on the hazard lights behind the switch in the dash. Theres a ground, plus a wire for each side of the car (to start with I only connected one side of the car, (figured it may take 2 relays to do this to both sides indicators without them shorting each other) Then on the locking relay took the ground and 12v and I also found the wires that send the pulse for the doors to lock/unlock (Yellow for locking, grey for unlocking if anybody wants to try)
I used those blue crimping connectors to intercept the wires.
A couple of times I managed to stupidly let the + and - hit each other and blow the locking fuse, so at least i know which fuse that is now!
Thing is, i wired it all in and tried it once, now the locking has stopped working completely.
I've taken out anything I attached in case I was still shorting anything somehow.
As far as I can see the fuses are all in tact. The remote locking relay is still receiving power, in fact it's still sending out a pulse of power when you operate one of the doors manually or use the bleeper.
But the lockers dont respond.
Silence.
Does anybody know if there are other fuses for the door solenoids anywhere?
