Hello all, new to this forum. Just treated myself to a lovely Y-reg Barchetta (no prizes for guessing what colour it is). I've now done a few hundred miles in it and am very impressed so far, it is a much nicer drive than the rather ratty N-reg I had some time ago.

In my quest for perfection I am putting right all the little minor niggles. The first most annoying one is that I seem to have some bits missing from my undercarriage :( The front wheel arch liners just rattle around, it seems they should be fixed to the front radiator bracket? If someone could post up some photos of what the front underside should look like that would be really appreciated. Also does anyone know what section on EPER I should be looking to find these mysterious pieces?

Also I noticed that the front sill lips have been flattened / crushed, is this an easy fix?

Cheers,

CO

Thanks, yes certainly am enjoying it so far! Just hope someone can help me out with my query...

No. the front wheel liner are only held with little screws.
Not to the radiator bracket, that is for if you have aircon.

Hi Bollie, no I don't have aircon. But what makes me think I am missing a piece is that on one side there IS a bracket on the nearside but no bracket on the offside. But there is a bolt-hole which indicates that something should be bolted there. Thats why I wish someone would post up a pic of their un-modified B up on a ramp so I could compare it with mine.....

You are probably not missing anything. While the weather has been too bad to go out, I have been planning what work to do, & took these snaps last week using a mirror in the garage. It's clear there is an unused tab at the front of the offside wheelarch insert.

I've spoken to my local friendly bodyshop guy with a view to getting the rust sorted next month, and will ask his advice re adding something to stabilise the offside, though it's not been a problem for me.

I know you don't have aircon, otherwise there should be an aircon part.
Like I said, it's normal. I thought the same in the beginning.

Hi Foldsmobile, thank you for posting those pics, appreciated! Very odd design it indeed looks like something is blatantly missing. Thanks too Bollie for the reassurance, sorry I didn't believe you first time round :)
