help finding paint code

hi iam ben new too the site and i need some help. iam thinking of putting some light masks front and rear. i went to halfords to price some paint up and couldnt find my colour i asked one of the lads who went to my car and said he could not see the code required. he said to look on my log book. all that it says is blue. well that f###in helps how many blues are there?. so i thoought i would ask you guys cheers ben

your paint code should be on a plate somwhere on your boot lid when you open it

thats where i first looked and couldnt see it. how long would the code be or does it vary

mines heraldic blue code 483/a

it will tell you the colour blue/ green what ever plus in another language then underneath it it will give you some numbers like mine above thats your code
