Quick question...would a halfords rattle can be fine to use on the polys? Would the heat from the HID's affect the paint in any way or do I need high temperature paint?

I know the temperature doesn't go that high but I don't want to paint them to find out all the paint has melted and gone bubbly.

Id say it would be fine. That same paint has to go on the odd panel which would have the sun shining on it all day, so has to be able to resist a bit of heat.
