Help! 1.4 cutting out

This has just started withtin the past couple of days. Usually when pulling out from a junction the revs just dip really low and it iether makes a popping noise and comes back to life or cuts out alltogether.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have the same problem 99% of the time the car goes great but every now an again it looses power and cuts out.
