Technical Heater/Blower nit working

It comes on and off with the heater intermittently mate.

Right I managed to get the clip apart and this is what I found.

It looks like the black wire and left a burn Mark inside?

I've just scored off some of the gunk and plugged it back in and its working?!

Bloody nightmare!!!
