Hi all just thought I would share my fix today. My fan wasn't working since I bought the car 2 weeks ago. Under the dash by the fan is a plug with quite a few wires going into it (2 very thick ones each side) when I tried to undo the plug the fan came on (ignition on) I left it and it went off after about 2 minutes. I managed to get the fan running and noticed the plug got very hot!! I cut (one at a time) the thick cables each side of the plug, stripped and connected using a electrical connector block. Once I had done both fan is running great (went for a drive for an hour). I am now going to get some shrink wrap tubing solder the cables and shrink wrap them to insulate them. Hope this helps someone else.
