hi mat

its a mdx-c5970r sony
wot do i need to look for wot does a pre out look for im completely new to all this

thanks m8

The front and rear outputs are just wires and not connections (RCA) I take it?

If it gets that bad, yu can get a line level converter that changes a speaker level into a line (amp) level, so yu can connect a speaker output to a amp input

its got 2 sets of wires linked up allready 1 for power 1 for speakers as far as i no.

then there is 3 sets of red white aux style sockets to are in puts 1 out the in just say front rear can i run a amp off each of these out puts ???????

Yes, the 3 red and white sockets are known as preouts

You will need to plan your ice and decide what preout will serve as what, e.g rear preout for rear speakers and front preout for front speakers and subwoofer preout for umm subwoofer!

Of course you can mix and match e.g have a front preout running rear speakers etc, it all depends what u r running
