Hello all,

My Brava is in for its' MOT and to be looked at for an oil leak, so I put the 1000CL into service for my trip to work yesterday, which is a 120 mile round trip to Leeds. It was unfortunate that this coincided with torrential rain all day. I was very cautious nearer to home through all the low villages, as there was a lot of flood water, and I know from past experience that large amounts water and Pandas do not mix. At some points the flood water was up to the bumpers but I took it slow and steady and the old girl performed faultlessly and got me home (y)

Anyway, on the journey back I had the headlights on as visibility was poor to say the least, but the green headlight light dissappeared from the dash with the lights still on. The Head and tail lights still work and the blue full beam light comes on when you switch them on. Just no dash illumination or headlight indicator. :(

Anybody have any idea what this could be????

Vin

Right,

I had a look last night in the dark and turned it all on.

I'll list what's happening as it is easier for me to explain

1. I switch the headlights on.
2. The head and tail lights come on.
3. The dash is illuminated (I couldn't confirm this during the day)
4. There is no green 'telltale' illuminated to say the lights are on.
5. The blue 'telltale' does come on when I put it to full beams.

Also, it doesn't have a clock.

So, on proper night time re-inspection it appears I have just lost the green headlight 'telltale'.

Other than that it is all tickety boo. :)

P.S. It also sailed through it's MOT last week without me having to do anything for it. So I was very happy. (y)

To replace the bulb you have to unscrew the main dash, pop it off (pull ends of heated controlls and push in rear window heater buttons etc) then reomve the screws holding the insrument cluster on. From there you can see all the bulb holders, they twist then pull out. You should be able to do it without unplugging everything, just look at it through the windscreen.
