Technical 88 carbed 999cc FIRE not pulling fuel

This is the FIRE setup, the "disc" on the right hand end of the cam is the fuel pump lobe, next to the distributor drive at the very end (thats all hidden under the last cam-cap)

That's what threw me the other day when I saw that same diag, seems like a **** poor drawing and they're usually pretty accurate ....

At first glance it looks like it's for a 3 cylinder but it's just the position/orientation of some of the lobes on the drawing.

Maybe you should just slap an electric pump in the car and be done with the mechanical one

I may do that temporarily, because the MOT` ran out a few days ago & I need to take it for another one, but the cars all original & low miles, so I really don't want to start modifying it & cutting the fuel lines down to fit one!
