Hi all,
I need to change the headlight bulbs on my 1.9 Multijet Stilo and was wondering if there is an easier way to change them other than reaching in from behind and ripping my hands to bits? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I agree with MEP - remove your bumper and headlights to change your bulbs. I did mine yesterday and had it back in place in 40 minutes. You can also have a good wipe down behind there when the bumper is off - Its surprising how much debris can accumalate on the radiator.
Also give all your bumper and headlight retaining bolts a little blob of grease for even easier removal next time and check the amber coating on your indicator bulbs when the headlight is off as it doesn't seem to last very long these days (mot failure). Then enjoy a nice cup of tea in the knowing that you've saved your hands from permenant damage.

Hi,
Thanks for all the help, bumper off was the best & quickest option. One problem I am having now is that I changed the running light bulbs (upgraded to LED ones) and now I'm getting a warning light on the dash to check them but they are working fine! Any ideas???
Thanks,
Mick

Hi,
Your best bet is to go back to your original ones and your problem will go away. Stilos dont like change !!! lol Regards alsimmo

That's what I'll do so :) although that's the least of my problems at the moment!!!

What running lights

Stilo doesn't have daytime running lights, as others have said though, fit the others, most LEDs are not 'E' marked and will normally throw this issue up.

do you know what in all the years and 3 stilos ive never ever replaced a bulb that way, ive never removed the front bumper either.
if someone could put up a simple guide i will give it a try, when ive looked in the past i was never sure where to start and just went back to the hand shredding way.
cheers

For the left side, I remove the battery, and the batt box, for the right side I release the front part of a plastic cover infront of the wheel.
