I've got a Panda Mylife 2010 and want to change over the headlamp units from UK to EU spec.

About 6 weeks ago I bought a pair from Germany- made sure they were for the '03 onwards with built in electric servo for lamp leveling.

I tried to fit them today and got them bolted on, but upon trying to plug the electric connector onto them I discovered the connectors are different!

The part numbers I got were 0318028316 & 0318028315.

If anyone could help letting me know which part numbers I should have so that the connectors will match would be very grateful.

Thanks,

RR

Thanks for the idea :)

One problem though- the original headlamps- one of them has a wire that has got trapped between the motor housing and mounting post probably during manufacture/assembly. Also I cannot see how you can disconnect the wiring that goes to the motor. Guess a dentists mirror on a stick would be handy.

Thanks for the offer of a piccy of the blindside. That would be a real help :)

If youve the original units still you can simply swap the wiring looms (y)

Hi everyone.

I'm in a similar situation to the person who originally posted this thread (converting my RHD car to LHD spec).

I visited a parts supplier a couple of days ago and was told that there are two types of headlight unit available: one with yellow connectors, the other with purple.

My car is a 2007 Multijet with purple connectors, and (sod's law) new lights are about €70 each compared to €45 each for those with yellow connectors.

Being an honorary Yorkshireman, I prefer to save myself €50 but want to be certain that I'm not going to cause myself a massive headache in the process.

So the question is, are there any differences between a headlamp with yellow/purple connectors other than the connector itself? And is it really a five-minute job to disconnect the wiring from the old units and install it on the new lamps (the photos above seem to suggest that it is)?

My weekend toy (a 1970 Austin-Healey Sprite) has had its wiring loom chopped about by various misguided tinkerers over the years, the result being that nothing works properly, so I'm keen to avoid anything on my Panda that involves cutting and splicing bits of cable…

Of course, I know what everyone's thinking: the obvious solution would be to sell the Panda and replace it with a left-hooker. I do agree, but anyone who's seen the state and price of second-hand cars in Spain will understand why I don't want to do that. I'm loathe to replace a well looked-after car that I've known since it was a couple of years old with an overpriced wreck (I've already got one of those in the form of the Sprite - I don't need another! :D )

Thanks in advance for your collective wisdom!

If it all goes well then yes.

The easiest way the the third bolt on the headlamp is to undo the front of the plastic wheel arc liner and peel it back.

With a car of this age expect some of the heads to brake off.

Also on my car someone has silicon glued the lense on.
