Nope fineDon’t think the shop used any locking tools — just reset the timing with the locking tools when I got the head back — am I in trouble?

Yep, I would worry about it nowIs this the right set?
Can you take a photo from the other sideI circled the weird wiggle room with the tool, I had doublechecked it was on right
I will as soon as I’m back with the car this eveningCan you take a photo from the other side
It's possible to fit the cam 180 degrees out
Only way I know to check or set the cam pulley timing on these keyless assemblies is with everything built up - so head reinstalled on the block and new belt fitted then timing can be checked using the timing tools which lock up the cam (Bar type tool which slots into the "back end" of the cam) and crankshaft ("dumbell" tool). With crank shaft locked the camshaft tool should drop into the slot on the cam. (be aware the cam slot only lines up on every second revolution of the crankshaft so you may need to turn the crankshaft 180 degrees if the cam slot won't line up first time you try) If the cam tool won't slot in then you'll have to slacken the cam pulley and rotate the cam itself until the slot lines up. DON'T TRY TO TIGHTEN THE CAM PULLEY RETAINING BOLT WITH THE CAM LOCKING BAR STILL IN PLACE. because you can break the cam slot if it movesDon’t think the shop used any locking tools — just reset the timing with the locking tools when I got the head back — am I in trouble?
