Hi all U might remember an incident i had at work when i reversed into that guy, well hear goes i had a hearing for it today and got my final writen warning, so what i have got behind me is that ....

there were no speed limit signs visible
there are no road marking
no carparking spaces lined
no signs to say i couldnt go where i went

so what do u all think my chances are with an appeal

so wat exactly happened man?

at the end of the day if u hit someone it is your fault.... it is the drivers responsibility to look out for pedestrians. sorry to say!

quite possibly the only way u can get out of it is if u checked all areas, all mirrors and blind spots, and your vision was blocked by something, and he just stepped out at the same time u were reversing and almost walked into u, as apposed to u hitting him... if that makes any sense to u!

at least u didnt get anythin more than a written warnin, any points?

cant u just tell them that it was an accident

if the guy u hit aint kicking up a fuss then i would tell them where to go, accidents happen so why pick on u

unless u where driving dangerously to begin with, especially if he took out your rear window

You could always go in to the personnel dept or whatever and ask - politely - for an explanation, then put your version of events. Try to keep an even voice, don't get upset and butt in or call anyone a liar etc.

You in a union, Chris?
