that won't work. There are many people that say they're going to events and then don't show. Be easier just to have x many places and allocate them to certain people who pay a deposit to have their car on show

best bet would be a free for all and the final decsion would rest with the mods and event co-ord, everyone who wants to show lets it be known

they would need to take into consideration that they would like one model from each range and go from there

I should really keep up with these threads a little more closely. I have only just realised that this thread exists without putting my tuppence in.

I have read a few posts along way and took note of what has been said. Mostly from what has been mentioned by Pete. Something like this would kill us smaller clubs and especially affect the newer clubs like clubstilo trying to really take off.

I have agreed in the past that a show stand as a collection would be nice BUT on the understanding that the owners went through there owners clubs and we got one big stand under the fiat hat. I would be happy to do that and get all the fiats together in place rather than scattered around the place. this also does not affect the clubs status then.

However, I am also aware that some of the clubs do not have a large prescence on here which then leave's 'stragglers' with no place to go. I think the only fair way to keep this reasonable would be to try and agree on the club prescence on here (clubcento, boo, and cubstilo as definates and others which I will have obviosly missed) and then take it from there to see if we can all agree.

Another note - how many spaces do you think you will get at these shows? BOO were allocated a MAX of 10 spaces for donny show. I know that CUK were only given 6!!! Under 1 hat there would be many many disappointed drivers.

I await your replies with interest!

I think the idea is to have a seperate stand for each club, as is already, and FF have its own stand therefore increasing the number of places available.

And still cannot see how this forum having a stand will effect the clubs they are totally different.

Steve.

i suppose, if we had a fiat area, with each of the clubs being part of it could be a good idea, as you would fill the stand if any club was struggling

im still trying to figure out what criteria forum members will have to meet in order to be allowed on a ff stand

i didnt think sammis idea was to have 1 big stand with everybody under the same hat, but a seperate ff one giving out the clubs fliers aswell as ff ones :)

My FIATforum leaflets I stick on peoples cars have the Clubcento leaflet on the opposite side too. hehe

oh dear

this reminds me of the bad old days when the fiat club fell apart...

chill out guys!

those of you who dont belong to any owners clubs don't know what they are missing, for example come to ONE clubcento event such as Castle Combe acion day and you will get free entry and free track time work MORE than your £20 membership

i am a member of clubcento, AROC and the SFC and i get VFM from all of them
the FF is cool and i ocasionally post, lets keep things free from the confines of an owners club and the inherent beuracracy that comes with clubs

rant over!

R

btw and this is not a threat, clubcento has reviewed its support for FF several times in the past and if the PERCEPTION exists of FF setting itself up in conflict the support of Pete, myself, Sie and Em as commitee members may have to be reviewed

Nobody wants a rift between the two organisations. I don't believe any car should be singled out from the FF stand. This is going too far. Why can't both just run alongside in harmony as they always have? Anybody would think we were competing against each other for transatlantic flight paths!!! They are both organisations for the sole purpose of fun, enthusiasts and not market share and profit margins (to survive, yes). They are not the purpose of either.

As my past posts have explained some people don't want to be in a car club however much pursuaded and some don't want to be part of a forum however much pursuade. Many want both, like many here. Both organisations IMO support each other. FF support Clubcento by making users aware of the club and vice-versa. It seems to me that it is all down to influencing people to choose something beyond which they normally wouldn't. If somebody doesn't want to be a FFer, fine, if somebody doesnt want to be a Clubcento member, fine. There is nothing wrong with broadening peoples range of choices though and making them aware of that.
FF and owners clubs are not in direct competition.

Lets put all our toys away now, please and get on with things how we used to.

can some explain to me y FF havin a stand would "threaten" "kill" "go against" or "any other word used" other car clubs?

surly if club cento and ff have a stand, then members of club cento would rather have their car on clubcento stand rather than fiatforum? and even if said member wants his or her car on the FF stand instead then club cento can have a different one? i mean not as if club cento is short of cars to have on their stand! same with FF

personally i dont c how FF could ever compete with somethin like club cento (no offence of course, they seem like different things to me!!!)

i dont c wat all the bickering is about!!!

? So what are you saying, by the FF having a stand at a car show, this is somehow a conflict, so you will review the standing of some of you own members.

I hardly see how FF having a stand is going to kill off any car clubs, we just would like to get a bit more exposure. If you own the specific model, you usually join up with that club, simple.

The FF is a forum to talk about Fiat's... maybe you would like the FMCGB to also refrain from going to car shows as they also take some of your members?

do club cento members have to pay to get on the stand?

if not surly the way to do a fiat forum one is to have it only open to people who arent members of clubs already, and make the owners of the cars pay the cost needed to b on the stand.

that way club members who pay for membership can have a shot at gettin on a free stand.

while non members can have a shot by paying the costs needed to get their car on the stand.

seems simple to me!
