ok then, do club cento members get free entry to some shows?

u could have it only open to non club members an maybe a £5 donation to the site for the privs of bein on the stand!!!

i doubt they get free entry, but you get your money back cause they lay free food on some events, at standford last year, i paid to get in, but got monies worth on food :D

mase you going in the right direction as i would like to see a criteria that is met when ff consider cars to go on a stand

My point all along is that it's treading on owner's clubs toes. Many good people have spent long hours getting space at shows and in most cases struggling to get enough good cars to fill the stand. If the FF decides to have its own stand, there may not be enough cars to fill the owner's club stands - and the clubs could lose their presence and publicity at these shows.

It's all jolly nice saying "Let's have them all under the FF banner" - but the owner's clubs wish to preserve their identities and not be seen as part of an umbrella organisation (which doesn't cost anything to join).

tru tru...

i thinkin donating to b on the stand would b the best way to do it if at all.

if more people interested than spaces, then all go into a hat, or a vote!

winners pay £5 donation for bein on the stand, and cannot b entered into the next show unless there is not enough interest!

Have you read any of the concerns raised from owner's club officials?

Yes I have read every reply and still cannot see your worries, every car that goes into a show has to pay wether FF or club. Therefore noone is getting their car on show for nothing.

If it is the fact the clubs charge a membership fee and FF only has a donation setup I still do not see a problem as you say you struggle to get cars for shows now and you have been showing and not attracting new members so maybe a non particular fiat car forum, not a club, could bring people in who would then venture into the clubs of their cars.

Steve.

At the end of the day although i think this is a good idea someone is going to have to make a commitment to this like people have done in clubcento/boo etc and take responsibility for the people who turn up for the events etc..that in itself may be a hard task to find lol i dont mind starting things like FF Weekenders but i wudnt want to take responsibility for people ;)

which is y i said it should only b open to people who do not have membership and or ties to clubs, and do not wish to b involved in said clubs but would like to help out with advertising this site and gettin their car on a stand! :D

i would also like to see active members get more of a look in than people who come on here sign up and be on a stand, although i dont have anything against this, it doesnt seem fair to members who have been here for a while

Whilst I kind of see your point, I also believe that there are many cars on this forum that don't currently go to shows, so would like the opportunity to. By only having one model per stand anyway we are only (at max) likely to take away one car from each club..?

I agree with you on the FF all in one point though, that WOULD be detracting from other clubs, as they do need their own identity.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we seem to have a sticky situation on our hands. If this is purely about "cars on stands" though and not "taking WEB members" then the solution is easy, if you want your car on the FF stand, you need to donate a min of X pounds....

thats is tru... u could say somethin along the lines of havin to b active for so many months before being allowed to put your car forward?!?

the thing is, if this is decided, then it might not take off, and no matter how it is done it will b unfair to some people, u can NEVER please everyone

lol and a very modest god as well! ;)

this is my opinion on the whole thing!

only open to non club member (people who have NO intention of becoming club members!)

member must pay at least £5 donation towards running of site before bein allowed on stand.

member must also b an active poster for more than 6 months before being allowed to b on stand.

if more members are interested than spacers allowed, they work it out ammongst them selves an some get next spaces, or other members vote on the cars to b on stand.

dependin on number of spaces on stand no more than 2 of the same model to get a balance through the fiat range!!!

:D

dammit there is always one!! LMAO just kiddin u kno i loves ya!

even tho it sounds harsh i think if we have a rule saying non members only, we need to stick to that rule regardless of which clubs are/are not attending the shows!

cant have a rule for some things and not for others, if u c wat i mean
