has anyone ever put a 899cc gearbox into a 1.1 sporting?? good or bad results??

ok i was jst wondering as i though the 0 - 60 times would dramatically decrease 
The input splines on the G/B are incompatible with the output splines on the engine.
It wont fit, end of...if you could fit the ratios in the Sporting, Id think the Sporting would be better as stock as its enthusiastically geared to begin with
