General Grande Punto Series 2 Details

We all received the letter I posted in the first post of this thread at the same time.

I didn't include them in the post, but the letter included full pricing for all models and options, so I can't see how anyone is struggling to order the specification they want?

hi, i noticed on the italian fiat site that they have blue&me sat nav for the new grande punto, was that on the new options list for the uk or is it just Italians getting extra stuff?

Why?

If your dealership has already ordered a car for you and it goes Fixed before you decide on your options just get them to order another one...

Because I haven't ordered it from a dealer direct - I'm using motorprovider who're ordering it for me. If it it doesn't have the spec I want, I think I'll be pretty much tied into buying it anyway, or lose my deposit...

Thanks for the document by the way - I'd assumed tinted windows were standard on the Sporting from translating the Italian document, but it appears this isn't the case. Need to ring up and add that on now...

Do you have any information about these new colours that we saw in the Italian document (Ska Red, Rap Yellow, and another blue)? I was thinking about going for the Ska red if available in the UK, so it'll be slightly different to all the exoticas I see around - but having only seen a small square image of the wing mirror (and not even sure if it's available in the UK) then I'm not convinced whether to ask for it or not?

As Ska Red is replacing Bolero Red my guess is it'll be a similar colour.

One final question

How are you going about ordering the supposed "personalisation" such as coloured wing mirrors and stripes?

I saw that italian document and immediately wanted the chrome mirrors and might be tempted by one of the stripe designs, but alas, have no way of explaining / ordering the correct one

I'm not yet.

Most of what I've ordered is to satisfy future Fleet orders, so are standard Actives/Eleganzas/Sportings as that is all they ever order.

I should probably stop relying on that god damn Italian PDF, but does anyone think this could be Ska red - or would you say it's simply Exotica?

hi guys, can i just point out that if you want your GP to look as good as the series 2, externally, then simply buy the decals and alloys from the fiat dealers when they become available, then hey presto, a series 2 GP!! lol!!

yeah but they would be classed as manufacturers alloys, so would be cheaper for insurance, not too sure about the stripes/decals though!! lol!!

A bit gutted about all this to be honest as it looks a bit more special than the series 1 gp does.However, i dont think there will be the interest free option on the new gps so i wouldnt have been able to get one anyway.Like those allows but they only look good because of the wing mirrors matching them and the stripes matching too

mmmm could be right, coz they look black in places, but give it a month or two, and they will be all over ebay!!!
