But the website sums it up, the car isnt actually appearing yet despite the fact it should be....hmm

If its on sale from now it should be online from now too.

I dont really see anything that I actually like more though, just different....

Like many manufacturers they've only done a few cosmetic tweaks and added more extras, giving it a fresher look- if it ain't broke, why fix it? Also, if they'd done anything more the Abarth would look out of date (when it finally arrives- pull your finger out, Fiat!).

It seems they've built on the 'user customisation' aspect of the 500, giving more styling/decorative options. The 'carbon-look' dash trim is straight from the Bravo, and the keys are from the 500. Nothing wrong with that though! ;)

Italiaspeed have a few pics and info too in the news section- http://italiaspeed.com/

Getting impatient waiting for the website to be updated now...

My order has been submitted, yet I'm still waiting to finalise any options or personalisations, as I want to know the god damn prices before signing up for things...

If they say I can't change the order I'm going to be extremely annoyed.

Early orders are becoming fixed for production very quickly (all of mine already have  ) so chances are it'll be too late before you decide on any changes.

Hi Scroog,

I assume you've been ordering a few Series 2 GPS's then? What kind of time period are you thinking from order to being locked down? I ask because I signed up for one on Saturday, with the explicit instruction that I would want to add options / personalisations once I'm aware of them. It's now Thursday - so would you expect it to be past the stage of change by now?

I rang them earlier and just gave them a guessed list (Ska Red (not sure I should be choosing that over Exotica, but hmmm), Alternative two-tint alloys, chrome mirrors, climate control), and just hope now they are able to update the order...

It depends on what model you've ordered?

Most of my GPs are still variable, but all of my Dynamics, Eleganzas and Sportings went fixed within a week.

Lead times on Grande Punto are pretty short anyway, especially as Series 1 production has already stopped, so delaying your order until you know the exact spec isn't going to make much difference to when you get it.

You're scaring me now :(

I ordered a Sporting 1.9MJet. If they don't have my options added, they can expect me to cancel and I'll just have to lose the deposit. It'd cost more than £500 to get climate and the alternative wheels added aftermarket...

Amongst other things I control the stock for three different Fiat dealerships and a Fleet Department that supplies over 1,000 cars per year (mainly Grande Punto) to various companies/brokers etc.

why do none of the fiat dealers know about this upgrade? i dont wish to order 1 with no idea of price or options

We all received the letter I posted in the first post of this thread at the same time.

I didn't include them in the post, but the letter included full pricing for all models and options, so I can't see how anyone is struggling to order the specification they want?
