Technical Grande Punto/Punto EVO second boot space/trunk light

Has anyone added a second light in their Grande Punto/Punto EVO boot space? The left side of the boot space has a light (W5W bulb) from the factory. I was looking to add a second light in the right side of the boot space by adding a light socket there (as the one in the third photo), and putting a W5W T10 LED bulb in both. I will upload pictures on what I mean. The side on these photos is the left side of the boot space, as it is built from the factory

This side is the right side of the boot space, which is where I want to install the second boot light (which will be a LED) and a socket space (like the one in the second photo)

Why not use a short section of led strip light

That what I used as the boot light in my 500 it lot the area up nicely

I considered that option as well, but in the end I wanted to avoid having the wires under the rear shelf (I have 6 x 9 oval speakers on there) in case I have to remove the rear shelf in the case of loading the car (when needed)

Run a single wire from one side of the boot around the boot trim and up to the other side of the boot, the boot light is the same as the glovebox light in the Evo, cut a matching square hole in the plastics on the other side of the boot, earth it off the body of the car, somewhere behind the trim, job done, to me seems a very simple mod
