Have noticed there does not appear to be any threads on this matter, though honestjohn web site has quite a few and that Fiat do not accept liabilty as a design weakness. It only appears to happen with car on 17" wheels and on the sporting model [ have not heard of Abarth conversions suffering unless it is a different g/box]
Fiat are quoting as over reving the g/box during change down and therefore not of Fiats liabilty - as a retired mechanical failure investigator the design does seem very marginal if this can happen. The ECU does provide a limited record of over reving but is limited by s/w bit state of 248?, it still does not give rpm values though. Are there any chaps out there that shed some light on this please. ......................
