Hi,

I looked online and the tax for a 1.9 diesel based on C02 figures of 149g/km is:

£125 As it falls in Group F

F: 141-150 £125

Am sure on my tax disk it was £140+???

Anyone else renewed their tax this year?

Is it going to be MORE expensive next year if the tax brackets change price?!

Thanks,

J

I think the rates apply to all tax discs bought from 1 May 2009 onwards so if you have bought before then old rates apply. Next time you come to tax it, it should be at the new rate £125 but who knows what can happen if this government stay in.

I double checked the tax disc on it and it was £140...

So should save money(y)

Depends when it was registered.
Mine's an 06 plate so it's £150 for 12 months as it produces 154g/km.
If it was registered after July 08 it magically produces less CO2 (149g/km) and thus just fits in one tax group lower (F as opposed to G) and you pay less (£125 for 12 months).

Anything to do with DPF maybe being fitted as standard? or the fact that thats the CO2 output of the 120 not the 130? Maybe a convienient loophole?

dpf was fitted as standard before july 08, mine is a june 08 and has dpf but is in the higher tax band, seems i got the **** end of the stick

 Its worth it whatever, at least its not 400quid a year....:p

Dont forget how cheap insurance is at Group 6
