I'm was more into 80's Pop than Rock

I don't think the speakers were doing it any favours, the riff from 'final countdown' sounded like it was done on a casio keyboard from Rumbelows :p

Yeah they're not brilliant - still the best I have in a Panda though!! They are meant to be Sony, but.........

Didn't Europe always sound like that though?

cheekylittlescamp -- cracking write-ups...! Have you thought about a career in automotive journalism? We could replace Jeremy Clarkson with you on Top Gear (he said, after just having driven through Chipping Norton...) -- you're about the right height...! :D

And has similar mechanical abilities, mainly involving a hammer & some shouting :p

I can say this, as mine are very similar. I tend to swear more than shout though

I do the same. It must be something to do with the joys of classic Panda ownership. [Classic Panda Ownership Syndrome (CPOS): incurable, even with multiple Pandas, a 10mm spanner, and a reversible screwdriver. Large blunt object optional... -- although one's bonce will do.] :D

How VmanC stays sane (or pretends better than we do...) is beyond me...! ;)

I can't understand why he would break them up. If he had sense, he would repair them, MOT them and sell on instead of putting all that effort in to get less ££.

Because cars are generally worth a lot more money in parts than whole, its fact. He's not putting much effort in, but is being an idiot buying cars which ultimatly won't get him the money he wants. Would be far better doing it with something very common like a Focus or Civic etc.

i have mentioned this on the garage section, but, thought i would put a short version here,
christine failed mot last year, 3 plates needed, to pass,
looking today underneath,to see how things are before this years mot. I see one on the drivers wasn`t done,
the garage claim it was inspected when it came back,(chalk marks still there from last year)
should i go to the welder who charge me for the work (£180.
the garage have said if this is the only fail they will put to the cost, as the owner feels he can`t go back to the welder a year later.
I thought it had been done, only looked at the back. should have looked at the work done :bang: but running 3 cars never thought to look, placed my trust in them :)mad:) last year.
excuses: this is not the car you brought last year (true! that was H7VKS)
ahh well! a car can rust a lot in a year!
well it might fail on more this year.it`s what ,25 yrs old! (a bit presuming i think! told him it was a 93 car. with 25,000 on the clock,

It's 20 years since I've driven a Panda with a choke so I was a little dubious I had the right technique. After a couple of stalls I hit the road running, mainly as I'm not used to the brakes on these older cars, the pedal travels little before becoming rock hard whilst the slowing of the car gave me a 'am I slowing down here or what'.

The judgement I got when I made started my Punto to Panda thread, rubbish with the choke, confused by the all or nothing 'feel' of the brakes.
It's not as easy driving the more basic Panda's than your lar-dee-dar Fizz!

Chokes and brakes aside not too much of a departure in ride, though I need to invest in some decent tyres to make the most of my "ever so posh compared to yours" Panda :p

I deliberately chose a later model to avoid chokes and gain fuel injection - better brakes are an added bonus :)

Just spent a happy few minutes browsing through this.... :)

A few sad Pandas; but quite a few that most of us would recognize immediately... -- including... :D

I was on Ebay Germany.

Stumbled on Cosi's, which are something special...

Danish blue
Spring green

Thats a good way to get an immaculate drivers/passenger seat. ;)
The green one was registered June 1993.

Why does it have a rubbish temp gauge?
