Technical Gear shift knob comes out

Hello, I couldn't find a similar topic - people usually try to remove the knob.
My problem is that the knob comes out every now then.

Would it be a safe solution to apply a glue or something? Any other ideas. Thank you.

apply quality glue in top of gearknob then bang it on the stick
if you dont do it this way you risk gluing the reverse lever up
of course a better s/h gearknob might be the answer like a nice leather sporting one?

Yes, buying a new one could be the best solution.
