Does anybody know where the fuel filter actually is? I read somewhere else on the forms that it's in the fuel pump assembly but when I took that out and looked at it there wasn't a filter anywhere on or in it and I can't really see it with how cluttered the engine compartment on it is I have a 2014 fiat 500L if anybody can provide pictures or anything I would appreciate it a ton

I know by looking at eper it's somewhere (hopefully) in the engine bay

Most modern petrol engines rely on a small gauze filter inside the fuel tank sender unit. Diesel versions need the better filtration of a more bespoke version usually but not always under the bonnet, due to their finer spray nozzles and extreme high pressures etc.
Other members here can give more detailed information re your model.:)

So yours is a petrol engine? I don't want to totally destroy these incase I want to use them, one was from a Fiat Doblo the other Fiat Punto. But basically the filter is what the actual pump body sits in and they are not normally serviced.
In the middle photo the pump body is at the bottom of pic. slide into the gauze filter part.
