Some people spend good money on SPaCeRs to get a NON-FiTTinG BONNeT
in the quest for extracting hot air . . . .[pointless!]

Lol, my cars been in a few bumps and the left part of the chassis is bent out a bit leaving a gap between bonnet and wing! sweet...
i was thinkin of strippin the paint of the green door and rusting it fully. what you think? i like it when rust looks natural not forced on like the usual rusty bonnets... rusty trails look good aswell like when it rains and leaves that orangey trails on the good bits of the bodywork lol

Hey Jools, I was just busy reading the bit about your two cars into one car build on sfc, when I read about the overheating problem it had in traffic.

My car used to be the same, nice and cool at speed but the needle would keep climbing in traffic. One day I was driving through Cape Town and still had a conciderable trip left before returning home. I got stuck in the traffic in the city centre and when I got going pulled in to the nearest automechanic.

After some investigation it turned out that for some reason my fan was trying to blow air out the front of the radiator against the incomming stream... the guy cut through the fan wires, swapped them around taped it all shut, didin't even charge me... Worked like a dream.

SWeeT story mate
How come your fan was working backwards in the first place???
DeaD WeirD?!?

The problem with that '89 Uno was the fan switch had packed up
BUT even though that engine got REALLY HoT that day on the M6
that little FIRE block+head has done us well in the last year in the other car
Still going OK
Current problem is the SPI cold start playing silly beggars
Some days he starts...but sounds like the 'choke' is full on

Hmmm
I took the green pad of a kitchen scourer sponge to some of our paintwork
To give it that 'aged' FLAT faded more 'naturale' look.....

What about pouring a little brake fluid along the top of your green door?
that would give a more natural stripped paint and rust effect....:D

[Alex will SHoT me for suggesting such SACRILEGE!]

So I have four alloys and two tyres and a small profit

RESULT!

interesting front bumper, I'd never lower mine, its allready scrapeing tar with mine more often than I like... I love your tires though, I miss being able to slap on 215 Eagle Potenzia's. Then again, kinda pointless on an Uno, whereas it was required fare for my old toyota.

Oh, and I'm sick jealous about the rims...
