Oh, and I'm sick jealous about the rims...
FiAT X1/9 Bertone Route OZ rims from the 'Grande Finale' model they made in '88-9

Joolz - do these 'mods' do anything to your insurance?
They might lower the insurance because they in effect devalue the car?!!!

:p
Strangely enough others on RAT-LooK have found that hand painting their car has increased their insurance!!!!

I've not had problems YET!!!!

Already had one negative comment from someone on RAT-LooK....;)
Maybe I've gone a bit TOO far with these ones....

That looks really good, you should try selling them on the forum. ;)
SSSSSHhhhhhhhhhhh
Its selling two colour versions of that particular sticker that got me a POSITIVE iTRader rating . . . . which then alerted the Mods to my 'Hobby Seller' [TRADER] status....

You will just have to look at them and dream of owning them.......;)

I'll have fun with you, just because I have a
Working engine

Working clutch

working gearbox

DOESN'T mean you can drive me if I seize up my clutch actuation arm

HaHAAHhahahhaaa
The little SWINE
I had to split the gearbox from the engine yesterday
and dismantle the clutch mechanism
16 years of gunk and rust was the problem
BUT got today to get it all back together ready to set off at 4am tomorrow to drive 4 hours to the RetroRides Gathering at the Haynes Museum....

Had loads of people perplexed by the BeaCH BoNNeT....:D

GOt their and back OK
ALTHOUGH the clutch bite is heading towards the floor
So I guess its on its way out anyway.....
Presume there is no adjusting an Uno hydraulic clutch.....? (n)

You have even made the plastic grille look rusty...

If the clutch is on its way out, the bite point heads away from the floor (i.e. bites with pedal higher and higher and eventually won't bite at all). So I think you have a hydraulics problem rather than a clutch mechanical problem (which is good news?) Try bleeding it first, but if air keeps getting in, you might have to replace the slave cylinder (especially if you can see signs of it leaking - the boot should be dry inside), and if that still makes no difference, the master cylinder as well. It's one of those situations where it's a simple system and you are best to shell out and rebuild it all if it stops working.

Joolz as your the guru on vinyl, any ideas how i'd go about a checkerplate effect on a black uno tailgate, whilst carbon copying of your car would be ideal. plagerism is best form of flatery right??
i'd like to make it a little bit different. esp as one day i'd like a set of OZs on mine

Cheers for that Alex..... i forgot it was that way round with a hydro clutch
Will look to change the seals and bleed the system this week...(y)

Best way I can think of faking checkerplate would be to buy some of the fablon fake stuff.....
Checkerplate Vinyl
BUT that might be expensive
The other way to do it.....
Cut a stencil of the four bars of checkerplate out of acetate
[ I use the clear plastic A4 filing sleeves you can buy from Newsagents/Stationers/Poundshop for my stencils as its dead cheap]
Then either
rattle can spray through your stencil
OR
sponge paint through your stencil

use a combination of matt and gloss back??? ideally want it to look like checkerplate but be nice an smooth to the touch. need to get the ut spoiler back to a rubber like finish too, guessing some satin will do the job.

Hmmmm pehaps some bits of MaTT BLaCK vinyl as the 'five bars' could work.......??

Hmmm... not sure how you would get paint off a rubber spoiler without WRECKING the spoiler??
GOt some bits of paint on mine...which will not come oOFF!!!

lol @ the rear bumper!
joolz, did u get the Uno Turbo steering rack fitted yet?
NOT as yet....gotta fix the clutch first...;)
