General Front wiper not working???

Isn't it just typical, whilst taking my daughter to school this morning I gave my windscreen a quick clean en route and one of the wipers made a clonking sound then stopped all together! (passenger side). I'm supposed to be heading off to Manchester to visit relatives this weekend as well and we all know how much it rains near that way.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Obviously I need this fixed before tomorrow and all the local garages just give it the old... 'Hummmmmmm, won't be able to fit you in til next Tuesday mate'!!! Even Kwik fit can't help (desperate measures).

Help...... pleeeeeease!!!

Hello. Not 100% sure on this, but it A) Could be as simple as a fuse (but surely that would stop both of them?) or B) it could be the wiper motor has died?

But first try turning the wipers on, and if it still isnt moving, try to move it manually bt dont force it, could be the wiper is just jammed a touch. This happened to me once.
