We only got charged for the bulb (which was a rip-off at a tenner). However, the car was in for quite a lot of other stuff as well.

We got a bulb replaced, an entire headlight unit replaced (the alignment motor had gone), a new drive shaft, two wheel centres for alloys, new brake pads on the back, an oil leak checked (not nothing found), an engine warning light investigated (again nothing found), and the timing belt done.

Not bad for a car we've only had for 11 months.

If you bought it used no-one but the previous owner / s will know how much abuse it suffered in its previous life.

Caveat Emptor remember...

You don't need to take anything off for changing main headlights. Right bulb is easy to change, left little tricky, but all you need to remove is cover of battery.
